At Plucky Wombat, when we design our escape rooms, there are three core principles we adhere to:
- Playing a Digital Escape Room should feel like an Escape Room first, not a video game.
Feedback on our first completed room, The B Block Breakout, has been clear that we have achieved this objective. We frequently hear that it is “the best VR escape room I have ever played” from those that have tried other VR escape room products.
- A Digital Escape Room should be fun first, clever second.
We aim to deliver joy and satisfaction to our customers. Hence our rooms are designed to have interesting discoveries and memorable moments, as well as playful opportunities for players to create their own stories.
Puzzles should feel tricky, so are satisfying to complete, but not be so hard that players can’t work them out and feel dumb.
- Operating a Digital Escape Room should be easy.
Operators are at the front of our minds as we develop our puzzle experiences. We’ve listened to a number of operators that have tried other VR escape room products and they often called out painful experiences when setting up and delivering a professional experience to their customers.
We have gone to great lengths to address these concerns by:- Ensuring that initial setup is as easy as possible
- Operators have easy to use consoles and the tools they need to support players
- Customers are comfortable and have the ultimate VR experience
- And, if something does go wrong (like the Wi-Fi dropping out for a moment), then the game can be recovered smoothly and quickly
Be this your first entry in the Digital Escape Room or you are looking to re-enter the VR market, get in touch with us and we can arrange a demo or a walkthrough of the game play and management tools.
